Last Weekend my friends mother was given a 90th Birthday Tea Party. She is from England and is VERY English! All the ladies attending were to wear hats and gloves. Chloe went with me and she had so much fun. All the ladies (most of them old enough to get the senior discount) thought Chloe was absolutely adorable. We went to the discovery shop and found her long white gloves and a hat. She wore a pearl bracelet and a pretty dress. It was fun to actually attend a real tea party!

October has been a very busy month. Mel and I went to Los Angeles with his sister and her husband and we went to a taping of the Dr. Phil show. That was fun but the show was on a depressing subject, suicide. So that was kind of a bummer but it was still a fun experience. We had a great time with Teresa and Wes. We walked around Hollywood on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Then I went to Seattle with Lauren Freemantle and we met up with her siter Kelsey (who was coming home from Alaska). We all went to a Sara Bareilles concert that was AWESOME!

Then of course there was HALLOWEEN! Chloe and Paige were SO cute! Paige was a Raggedy Ann Doll and Chloe was a Candy Corn Witch.

We had a wonderful month and a great Halloween. This was Paiges first so she was so interested in all the crazy costumes! Next year Chloe said she wants to be at home to pass out candy. We didn't get home until late and all the kids were done trick or treating. She insisted on sitting out on the front porch with the candy bowl in her lap and the pumpkin lit up...just waiting for someone to come trick or treating. Finally we convinced her to come inside and told her if anyone was coming they would ring the doorbell. In the meantime Kyle went outside and found some teenage neighbors and asked them if they would ring the doorbell and trick or treat our house because his daughter had been waiting for someone to come. They did and Chloe told them to take as much as they wanted and they did! She was so excited and she finally went to bed!

So we just went to the Apple Harvest Festival in Fortuna yesterday. It was on the verge of raining the whole time but held out. We went for a hayride through Clendenens Apple Orchard and tasted a variety of apples and apple cider. Then we went downtown Fortuna and checked out the booths and food. Joey, Hanna, Paige, Chloe, Kyle and myself all went and had a good time.

Just thought I would add some pictures of our trip to Skagway, Alaska we took this summer. Mel and my Dad and I went and we had a great time. We were able to go on a Helicopter ride to the Meade Glacier and walk around on the glacier. That was pretty awesome! The scenery was incredible! We also went on a train ride up a mountain called White Pass that was built during the Gold Rush. It was so high and so steep...it was kinda scary! The whole mountainside is shale and could come crashing down at anytime....at least that's what it felt like. I wish we had more time. It was a fast and busy trip....we'll have to go again next year! Next time we want to go on Helicopter tour to the sled dogs! The weather was too crummy for us to do this time.

So I came across this blog reading a friends blog and I just had to share this story with my friends. These two blogs I have added (the links are at the top of my blog and I've added them below) are two sisters. One is names Stephanie (nie nie as everyone refers to her by) and Courtney (c jane) . Stephanie and her husband were in a small airplane crash about a month ago and are currently recovering in an Arizona hospital from critical burns to most of their bodies. Courtney, Stephanies sister, keeps her blog updated on their recovery. The story is so inspiring and yet sometimes so hard to read. Their faith is so strong that I am amazed everytime I read it. Check out the links if you'd like to read their story.cjanerun

I have not been very good at keeping up on the blog....so much for my once a month postings. I just had a wonderful birthday yesterday, with a facial, pedicure, and sushi for lunch and tonight we are going to Tapenyaki....yummmmm. I can't wait. Paige is now 4 1/2 months old and is cute as ever. Chloe just had her 6th birthday party at Round Table and it was a huge success. Lots of people came and she got a ton of presents. She is almost done with kindergarten and she is getting so grown up. Last night our church had a teacher appreciation dinner for all the teachers and Chloes teacher came. Chloe was so excited. It was really nice. Bret is now driving....scary. He has my Suzuki Esteem and I got a 2007 Mazda 6. Not a whole lot of new stuff has happened since I last wrote. I'll update with pictures soon.
